Hoewel ze er zelf van overtuigd is dat ze geen mentale problemen heeft besluit ze toch de raad van de psychiater toch op te volgen. Na verloop van tijd komt ze erachter dat deze rustperiode meer dan nodig was en dat ze mentaal echter niet zo sterk bleek als ze dacht.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Het verhaal is gebaseert op het boek &#8220;<em>girl interrupted<\/em>&#8221; van Suzanna Kaysen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ik vond dit een ongelofelijk pakkende film. Verschillende bekende gezichten in een kunstwerk. Winona Ryder, Angelina Jolie (natuurlijk), Brittany Murphy,&#8230;                                        Ik kwam er ook achter dat tijdens het filmen Winona en Angelina nauwelijks met elkaar communiceerden zodat Angelina haar apathische karakter beter kon spelen. De dedicatie was er dus vast en zeker en dat merkte ik ook duidelijk tijdens het kijken. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ik heb deze film verschillende keren gekeken en vervolgens ook het boek gelezen. Natuurlijk zijn beide nooit identiek. In het boek had Lisa bijvoorbeeld een heel ander uiterlijk en eindigde het verhaal veel vrolijker. In de film was Daisy haar dood een belangrijk keerpunt terwijl deze gebeurtenis in het boek minder centraal staat.
